On 1st July 2011 the Revd Dr Bernd Jaeger became the new church relations representative of the CPCE in the administrative office in Vienna. A native of Lübeck, he is principally responsible for the intercommunication of the three existing regional groups of the CPCE and will take over the supervision of the planned new Regional Group North. Longer-term projects planned by Bernd Jaeger are the 40th Anniversary of the Leuenberg Agreement in 2013 and co-operation in the international Christian Conferences in Poland in 2014.
Dr. Bernd Jaeger, a 59 year-old theologian, was on the staff of the Schleiermacher Research Centre in the University of Kiel, and until taking up his post in the CPCE worked as pastor of the North Elbe Lutheran Church on the Baltic island of Fehmarn.
Henceforth Ingrid Monjencs will take over the work of press and public relations from Thomas Flügge, who is now engaged full-time in the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches (SEK). Through his agency ecumenix in Berne he will continue in the future to contribute his long-established know-how to the public relations work of the CPCE.
Ingrid Monjencs, a native of Vienna, has worked since finishing her study of economics in 1986 in the field of marketing/public relations and since 2008 has been a reader in the Protestant congregation A.B., Kaisermühlen & Kagran in the 22nd municipal district of Vienna.

At present 105 Protestant churches in Europe (including five South-American churches originating from Europe ) belong to the Community of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE). Lutheran, Reformed, United and Methodist along with pre-Reformation churches such as Hussites and Czech Brethren grant each other pulpit and table fellowship on the basis of the Leuenberg Agreement of 1973.
